Quick + Easy Ramen

Ramen has been a staple comfort food throughout my life and the one dish that has been an all time family favourite! This quick and easy ramen will make you forget all about instant ramen packages.



INGREDIENTS (SERVES 1)

  • 1/2 -1 clove of minced garlic

  • green onion (quantity is personal preference)

  • pinch of chili flakes

  • 2 tbsp organic oil (olive, coconut, etc.)

  • pinch of organic cane sugar or 1/2 tsp maple syrup

  • 1/2 tsp oyster sauce

  • 1-2 tsp light or soy sauce alternative

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar

  • 1.5 cups of water (hot not boiling)

  • 1-2 tbsp miso paste

  • 1-3 tbsp kimchi

  • sesame seeds

  • 1 serving rice ramen noodles

  • 1 egg (hard boiled or paoched)

  • chili oil (quantity is personal preference)

  • kale (optional but encouraged!)

DIRECTIONS

  • cook noodles and set aside

  • add garlic, green onions, chili flakes, and organic sugar or maple syrup to a bowl

  • heat organic oil for 1-2 minutes on high heat (till smoke starts to come off the oil). Pour into the bowl and stir with other ingredients

  • add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and ACV/rice vinegar and stir

  • pour in hot water, add miso and mix well

  • add noodles and toppings! (egg, green onions, chili oil, kimchi, kale, and sesame seeds)
